Description
For the last five years, I have been visiting this street at least once a week. There always is a ripple in this spot, no matter what time of year.
This neighbourhood was built for the fishermen who used to live in small 32-square meters one-bedroom apartments called Un Cuarto. They would go out to sea early in the early morning and return ashore in the afternoon.
Walking in the small streets, absorbing the atmosphere, looking into the ground floor apartments where most of the doors are open, gives one a chance to peek at the old world.
In this artwork, I imagined the music of the sea following the fishermen into the neighbourhood as they return home with the fruit of their labor.
Talented Dancer Adi Hachim posed and inspired me.
