It is a great honor to be inspired by a great artist; a rare privilege.
Walking inside Gaudi’s Monuments, watching and trying to comprehend the spirit of creation, gave rise to some questions:
Where do ideas come from? Wherefrom the muse? What perspective should we adopt in the here and now, to imagine and recreate the spirit of creation in a time gone by?
I have visited Casa Batlló on many occasions, often having the opportunity to be the first patron, to walk around as if it were my own home, and to watch others walking in, paying a visit, breathing life and movement into this amazing house.
Being in the unique living room made me feel like I am on top of a huge colorful butterfly. I was sitting at the far end of the room, watching the early morning light sifting through the colorful crystal and reflecting on the floor.
A woman entered the room, slowly making her way to stand in front of the central window, to survey the view outside. She stood in the middle, giving body to the butterfly. A Casa dels ossos indeed.
I screamed at the sight, in my fashion, through the camera lens, by zooming out the colors and the walls, moving all the objects a century back in time.
